  • 3 Plastics Hand VMOs
  • 4 Orthopaedic Hand VMOs
  • 100% Public

Availability of PFET Positions:

  • Duration of fellowship: 6 months
  • Start dates: February and August
  • One position available every 6 months

Description of Programme:

  • Likely specific points of training focus: microsurgery major trauma/arthroscopy
  • Size of Unit: 7 Consultants, 2 Plastics SET trainees, 1 share RMO)
  • All consultants actively involved with PFET training
  • Case-mix: 70-80% trauma/ 20-30% elective, 80% hand vs 20% wrist
  • Timetable: Per week:  5 clinics, 10 sessions operating, 1-2 sessions, 0.25 meetings.
  • Training focus: Microsurgery and trauma.
