- Size of Unit: 6 consultants, 2 hand fellows. Associated with Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Unit at St Vincent’s Hospital which includes 20 Consultants, 2 SET trainees.
- Number of consultants involved with PFET training: 6
- Mixed unit
- Public/private mix: 8 sessions private, 2 sessions public
- Case-mix: 90% elective, 50% hand 50% wrist
- Fellow’s timetable: On rotation attendance at private and public clinics and operating sessions, Weekly academic sessions and monthly total audit
- Likely specific points of training focus: Arthroscopy, general elective hand and wrist surgery, wrist reconstruction and arthroplasty, rheumatoid arthritis, microsurgery

- Wrist and hand research, ongoing projects with thumb CMC problems, some basic science projects. Regular research meetings.
